Defence-tech startup Armory has raised ₹13 crore in a funding round led by growX ventures, with participation from Industrial47, Antler, AC Ventures, Dexter Ventures, and leading angel investors.
The funds will be used to:
- Scale up R&D and manufacturing
- Accelerate deployment of AI-led counter-drone systems
- Strengthen India’s defence autonomy
Armory’s flagship product, SURGE, detects and neutralizes rogue drones using proprietary AI software "Samaritan OS" which learns and adapts in real-time, making it superior to legacy defence systems.
Already tested by Indian Army regiments, SURGE is helping tackle rising threats from autonomous drones and electronic warfare systems — a domain where India needs to move fast and local.
“The future of warfare is autonomous. We’re building the countermeasures India needs now not later,” said Amardeep Singh, Founder & CEO.
“Armory’s modular, mission-critical systems represent the vision India’s defence ecosystem needs,” said Manish Gupta, General Partner, GrowX Ventures.
