B2B textile startup Fantail has raised Rs 13.75 crore (approx. $1.6 million) in a seed round led by Riverwalk Holdings, Incubate Fund Asia, and All In Capital.
The funds will power:
→ Skill-building & process upgrades for SME partners in Surat
→ Hiring across design, quality, and technical functions
→ In-house tech development to enhance traceability and efficiency
“I’ve spent a decade working in the Surat ecosystem. With the right team and patient capital, we can build a globally recognised MMF brand from here,” said Ramya Iyer, Founder of Fantail.
Fantail is digitising and streamlining Surat’s traditionally unorganised ₹3.3 lakh crore MMF (man-made fabric) industry by working across the full value chain from yarn to finished garments.
The company partners with fashion retailers across value, premium, and luxury segments, bridging the gap between legacy textile SMEs and the demands of modern retail.
“Fantail is unlocking reliability and speed for retailers by digitising a fragmented supply chain,” said Rajeev Ranka, Partner at Incubate Fund Asia.
“Ramya's clarity and domain depth make her uniquely positioned to lead this transformation,” added Aditya Singh of All In Capital.
