PlutoPe, a non-custodial DeFi startup building the next-gen crypto neo-bank, has raised ₹5 Cr (~$0.5M) in a pre-seed round led by Indian investor Manit Gupta, co-promoter of a $500M IPO-bound company.
Founded in 2022 by Kumar Chetan Tyagi, PlutoPe is reimagining financial empowerment through decentralized, user-owned infrastructure — offering secure, on-chain access to digital assets for users and businesses across underbanked global markets.
Key stats & roadmap:
> $14.5M+ in crypto swap volume processed
> 9% MoM user growth, with 65% active user retention
> Targeting $2.5B in transaction volume in next phase
> Expanding across MENA, Southeast Asia, and LATAM
Upcoming launches:
Crypto debit cards in international markets
Merchant app for seamless crypto acceptance
Fiat-to-crypto on-ramp for Indian users
Wallet + Swap + Card = full-stack DeFi operating system
“This is about building open, accessible finance for the next billion — no banks, no borders,” said Kumar Chetan Tyagi, Founder & CEO.
“PlutoPe isn’t just a wallet — it’s the rails for a new financial world,” added Manit Gupta, Lead Investor.
With digital asset adoption surging and traditional infrastructure lagging, PlutoPe is positioning itself as the decentralized financial OS for the global south — low-cost, non-custodial, and creator-distributed.
