Chennai-based co-living startup Truliv has secured a strategic equity investment from Bennett, Coleman and Company Ltd (BCCL), the media powerhouse behind The Times of India.

This follows its earlier $2.1 million seed round from DRA Homes and others.

The new capital will fuel:

→ Expansion into new Indian cities

→ Tech platform upgrades

→ Launch of new asset classes: holiday homes, retirement living & nature-centric stays

Truliv is targeting Rs 200 crore in annual revenue within the next 3 years as it diversifies across hospitality-driven real estate.

“Our mission is to reshape India’s alternative real estate space with built-to-suit, asset-light living formats tailored for emerging urban needs,” said Rohit Reddy and Ranjeeth Rathod, Co-founders of Truliv.

Already operating high-occupancy co-living spaces for mobile professionals and digital nomads, Truliv is now setting its sights on student housing and retirement communities.
