Dugar Finance, a Chennai-based NBFC focused on clean energy financing, has raised $3 million in debt from Symbiotics Investments’ $75M Green Basket Bond, with support from British International Investment (BII).
This green capital will enable Dugar Finance to expand rooftop solar and EV financing to MSMEs, housing societies, and residential customers across India’s tier-2 and tier-3 cities.
“This capital infusion is more than a financial commitment. It validates our mission to drive clean energy access and empower small businesses at the grassroots,” said Ramesh Dugar, Founder and MD, Dugar Finance.
Key highlights:
> Over 1,200 clean energy customers financed
> 3,000+ tonnes of CO₂ emissions avoided
> ₹2.96 Cr saved annually in electricity costs
> Serving 25,000+ customers through 30 branches across six Indian states
> Focus on underserved and credit-invisible households and MSMEs
With backing from Swiss-based Symbiotics and BII, Dugar is poised to accelerate clean energy adoption in the regions where it is needed most.
