Kisah Apparels, a fast-growing men’s ethnicwear brand based in Kolkata, has raised ₹13 Cr (~$1.52M) in a pre-Series A round led by Sagar J Daryani (Co-founder, Wow! Momo), with participation from Apurva Salarpuria, Rahul Todi, Vinod Dugar, and Inflection Point Ventures (IPV).
Founded in 2018 by YASH SARAWAGI and Yashwi Sarawagi Ladsaria, Kisah is redefining ethnicwear for Gen Z and millennial men, blending high-fashion design with affordable pricing — and moving from marketplace-led growth to a fully omnichannel playbook.
What the funds will fuel:
Expansion from 2 to 5 offline stores in key metro cities
Strengthening of D2C infrastructure and brand experience
Investment in data-led product design, supply chain & marketing
Acceleration of brand-building initiatives at scale
Kisah so far:
> Grown from ₹40–45 Cr to ₹100 Cr+ run rate
> Maintains positive operating cash flow
> Profitable at the PAT level
> Fully integrated in-house systems across design, sourcing, and marketing
“Marketplace growth gave us reach and insights — now we’re building depth and durability through D2C and offline,” said YASH SARAWAGI, Co-founder & CEO.
With rising demand for affordable, stylish occasionwear, Kisah is becoming the go-to ethnicwear brand for India's modern male consumer.
