Cent, a Bengaluru preventive-health startup co-founded by Practo co-founder Shashank ND, has raised $15 million in a Series A round co-led by Blume Ventures and South Park Commons. It also acquired Medsee, an AI-powered radiology reporting platform, as it scales full-body screening for people with no symptoms.
The round
Cent raised $15 million (about ₹143 crore, per Inc42) in a Series A round. Inc42 names Blume Ventures and existing investor South Park Commons as the lead investors; other outlets describe the round as co-led by the two. Individual investors include former Vodafone CEO Arun Sarin and Srinivas Narayanan, a former OpenAI B2B CTO, Inc42 reports.
Inc42 says the money will go to research and development and to growing the AI, engineering and clinical teams. Other coverage lists medical hardware, AI and clinical research. One outlet says the round includes both equity and debt.
| Date | Round | Amount | Lead investors |
|---|---|---|---|
| March 2026 | Seed | About $5 million | Backers reported as OneFlow Holdings and South Park Commons |
| October 2026 | Series A | $15 million | Blume Ventures, South Park Commons |
What Cent does
Cent screens people without symptoms for more than 300 conditions, including cardiac disease, cancer and neurological disorders, using imaging, AI and biomarkers, Inc42 reports. Its flagship Cent Check combines full-body MRI, low-dose CT, DEXA, ECG and echocardiography in a single visit of about two hours, and the comprehensive package is priced at ₹27,500. The company says it has run about 10,000 whole-body scans across centres in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi NCR since it began.
The company's own protocol, called CCNM, assesses cancer, cardiac, neurological and metabolic risk. Scan data will be used to set health baselines for asymptomatic Indians, train disease-risk models and support clinical research, Inc42 says.
Cent was launched this year by Shashank ND with Anshul Khandelwal, formerly chief marketing officer at Ola Electric, and Arpit Garg, formerly head of product at Lenskart. The Medsee acquisition adds a platform meant to make radiology reporting faster and more consistent as scan volumes grow.
The investors
South Park Commons backed Cent at seed and is now in a second round with the company, alongside Blume Ventures as co-lead. Available reports do not set out either firm's thesis in this category, so none is attributed here.
Why it matters
Preventive screening sold directly to consumers is a new category in India, and Cent's economics rest on people paying out of pocket for an early check. The company has set a target of 10 million scans by 2035, per Inc42. Its stated traction, around 10,000 scans, is the main public data point on demand so far, and it comes from the company.
