🚨 Repello AI Raises $1.2M to Secure the Next Frontier of Generative AI 🚨

5 min readJune 13, 2026

Repello AI, a Bengaluru–San Francisco-based AI security startup focused on red teaming and runtime guardrails for generative AI, has raised $1.2M in seed funding from Venture Highway (now part of General Catalyst), pi Ventures, Entrepreneurs First, and angel investors including Charlie Songhurst (Meta board), Vivek Raghavan (CEO, Sarvam.ai), and Satya Vyas (Project Hero).

Founded in 2024 by IIT Roorkee alumni Aryaman Behera and Naman Mishra, Repello is building a GenAI-native security stack to protect enterprises from evolving threats that traditional tools can’t detect — like prompt injection, reputational attacks, unsafe outputs, and compliance violations.

Core Platforms:

➡️ ARTEMIS: An automated red teaming engine that runs millions of adversarial attacks across text, image, and audio models to identify vulnerabilities

➡️ Repello Guard: A runtime firewall that blocks unsafe content, flags prompt leaks, detects brand or competitor misuse, and more

Clients already include global enterprises like Groww and PW (PhysicsWallah), with expansion underway across healthcare, BFSI connect, insure-tech, and digital-first verticals.

💬 “Security has to evolve with GenAI — we’re building adversarial tools that think like attackers to stop them before they strike,” said Aryaman Behera, CEO

💬 “GenAI-specific threats demand GenAI-specific defenses. That’s where Repello leads,” added Naman Mishra, CTO

With red teaming and threat detection now mission-critical for GenAI adoption, Repello is emerging as the zero-day defense layer for the enterprise AI era.
